Welcome to Bitmynt AS
The business has moved from my old sole proprietorship company Sunde bitmyntnahdel to Bitmynt AS. Our plan is to expand with new services, enabling anyone to live on a bitcoin only economy in Norway without a bank account. A bitcoin wallet and a credit card will be enough. Later we hope you will be able to drop the credit card as well.
Since the privacy terms of Sunde bitmynthandel are very clear that I won't share personal informaton with anyone, and the Financial Authorithy states clearly that Sunde bitmynthandel can't identify customers for Bitmynt AS, all customers have to register again. We are sorry about that, but there is not much we can do about it.
Bitmynt is still very focused on privacy. We don't want to tell BankID, Vipps or anyone else who our customers are. For that reason, and to reduce risk of fraud, you can not register with BankID (which by the way requires you to have a customer relationship with a bank). We do a lot of manual work ourselves to avoid sharing information with third parties which don't need to know that you own bitcoin.
Since we don't accept BankID, we need a picture of valid ID (passport, national ID card or a Norwegian drivers licence), and we have to identify you as the owner of that ID. There are two options to choose from when you register.
We are currently working our way through the new customer registrations, and hope to have completed the backlog in a few weeks.
